*Blue floor

As a key player blue is present in my work in different shades and materials. It refers to the intensity of a quiet sky and it’s reflection on water. Also blue is connected to the notion of limitless mental space.

Rice paper with black sesame seeds

I make drawings since 1970. The drawings make visible what I carry with me in solitude. Reflections and transformations of my experiences, reverberations of a collective history. Learning experiences and pain points, the ticking of the clock and the flow of time. Whilst drawing my hand is led by my thoughts and my thoughts are led by my drawing in a inimitable pendulum movement. Concentration and focus determine the direction. This way of working and attitude has brought forth more then 1500 drawings.
